Location: Online, self-paced

Course Description:
This course is a state-approved, lesson-based, online program for human body function. This guided, online format will take approximately 10 hours to complete and meets all requirements for this portion of the state-required core subject matter. This online course fulfills part of the requirements for a coaching authorization certificate, which is required for anyone coaching at the junior high or high school level.
Course Outcomes:
- Distinguish between anatomy and physiology.
- Utilize the vocabulary and terminology used in naming and describing body systems.
- Identify the normal structure and function of each body system.
- Describe the general planes, regions, and cavities of the human body.
- Identify the structure and function of the major parts of the cell; identify the structure, function, and characteristics of tissues, membranes, and skin.
